MI-EYE 2 Q & A
What is MI-EYE 2?
Mi-Eye 2 is the revolutionary alternative to a traditional MRI. Mi-Eye is FDA cleared for use in diagnostic and operative arthroscopic and endoscopic procedures to provide illumination and visualization of an interior of the body. Mi-eye 2 is an in-office imaging solution that allows trained doctors to perform a full diagnostic arthroscopy on an HD tablet. The future of diagnostics is here. Reduce the number of appointments and time at the doctor's office with mi-eye and get back to your team, gym, and life.
Who are the ideal Mi-Eye 2 patrients?
Mi-Eye 2 is ideal for patients that want an immediate answer to what is causing their pain. Mi-eye 2 is also ideal for patients that are not candidates for an MRI such as those with claustrophobia, pacemakers, metal implants, obesity or anxiety.
How does this procedure work?
The typical mi-eye 2 procedure takes less than five minutes to perform. In some cases, the problem is visualized immediately depending on what specifically is being looked for in the joint. Patients tolerate the procedure very well, with most reporting little to no pain. Local anesthetic is used prior to the mi-eye 2 procedure to help eliminate any unnecessary pain or discomfort.
